Due for completion in 2008, this project entails the provision of high-quality accommodation for 498 students sited in a prominent, steeply-sloping location. It has been designed in accordance with the city-centre planning brief, which aspires to achieve new buildings of a high standard with a positive impact on their surroundings. The contract programme of 15 months requires the use of a tunnel form of construction to allow for rapid completion and occupation.
