Control structure

Hurd Rolland has developed in-house management systems to suit the nature of our work and clients’ needs, to run projects from conception to completion in a disciplined way.

The partner in charge maintains an active role throughout, directing the team and liaising with the client on matters of policy. The architectural team is led by an architect/project leader who is a senior member of staff, usually an associate partner. The project leader works directly with the client, is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the project, adherence to budget/timescales and leading the architectural team. The design architect is responsible for all design aspects, leading the design team and monitoring the maintenance of the design objectives. He/she is free from administrative duties. A technical co-ordinator, usually an architect or senior technical person with relevant experience, is allocated to each project with responsibility for leading the technical and production information. Progress is monitored at weekly meetings and our clients are regularly consulted, enabling them to influence the design and construction intent.
