This award-winning development, completed in 1996, entailed the restoration of the original four Victorian Courtrooms to their original condition. Extensive alterations were made to the landmark Grade II listed building, to provide a further four new Crown Courts. The new extension contained a further two Crown Courts together with ancillary accommodation. Complex circulation problems were solved by providing a new glass atrium to link the old and new structures.
