The Hurd Rolland Partnership is delighted to announce the appointment of Donald Canavan as
a Senior Consultant and Expert Witness within the Construction Technology Section.
Donald joins Hurd Rolland from Keppies, where he was a Director in their Edinburgh office. He has worked in both large and small architectural practices, on a wide variety of private and public sector projects. Most recently he was Project Director for the award winning passive low carbon SNH Headquarters in Inverness. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has substantial experience in the analysis of construction disputes. “Hurd Rolland has been at the forefront of providing Expert Witness and Specialist Consultancy Services in Scotland, and nationally, for over twenty years. Donald’s range of skills and experience make him particularly well suited to joining our team,” Ken Williamson, partner in charge of Hurd Rolland’s Construction Technology Section, commented today. “We are particularly pleased to bring into the practice his track record on managing and implementing sustainable design which sits well with our work at Edinburgh University’s Kings Buildings campus and elsewhere.” Under the umbrella of the Construction Technology Section Donald will pursue his interest in the analysis of construction disputes and head the expansion of Hurd Rolland’s Sustainable Development consultancy service.
