hurd rolland: rossend castle, fife Our Fife office is based in Rossend Castle, the oldest building in the ancient Royal Burgh of Burntisland, originally dating back to 1119. After decades of decline, it was saved from demolition in the 1960s, and subsequently acquired by the partnership in the 1970s. Our extensive experience of restoring historic buildings was fully utilised, ensuring that Rossend Castle was returned to its former glory.
