Duff House, Banff, Aberdeenshire

A sensitive intervention on a beautiful country house.

This project involved the creation of a “Country House” gallery in a magnificent Grade A listed 18th Century mansion. Adapting the fabric of the building – including replanning, adding sprinkler systems and reinforcing floors – was a delicate and painstaking exercise. The key to the project was to make those adaptations whilst preserving and protecting the extraordinary quality of the original building.
